In the Photos 1-9 below, you are to view the Activities taking place at CCO-Medical Centre Located at Mutufu Trading centre, Buhugu sub-county, in Sironko district. The Clinic is assisting the Local communities at the grassroot in Buhugu Sub-county and also the Neighboring sub-counties of Butandiga, Buyobo, Bumasifwa and Busulani.

Photo 1 Below is CCO-Clinic Sign Post directing Patients to the entrance:

The majority of the population in the communities can not afford money for transport to the nearest hospitals for better treatment; hence as a result they had resorted to self medication by buying drugs from shops and markets where the storage is poor and at times expired drugs are sold. Now with services within a walk-able distance, CCO is dissuading them from such practices.

Photo 2 Below is the entrance of the Clinic. The Chief Executive Officer and a well-wisher who had visited the Clinic are standing while two patients are seated at the Verandah waiting for treatment:

Due to Inadequate funding, the Medical Centre is Operating on rented premises. Otherwise CCO has already bought Land for the Construction of a permanent Health Centre. The cost of a building has been estimated for US Dollars 17,485

Photo 3 Below is the Reception of the Clinic. :

The Reception Can only accomodate a maximum of six patients Since it is a rented Place, Various rooms have been created using Plywood.

The population of HIV/AIDS orphaned Children is high. Therefore there is need to offer them proper Medicare within the communities at the grassroots as many cannot afford fare and high cost treatment from the nearest good health clinics.

Photo 4 Below is the door to the entrance of a treatment room:

The Majority of our patients are children below 10 years and elderly of low income.

Photo 5 Below is a skilled clinical Officer attending to a Patient (Child):

A clinic is having three Permanet staff (one Clinical Officer, one Nurse & One Midwife) and a visiting Doctor from Mbale Main Hospital. Normally, the funds from the cost sharing method in the Clinic is not enough, however, some of the funds to run the clinic are generated from the internet cafe that CCO has set up in Mbale town at Plot 10 Republic Street. Other funds are also got from well-wishers who normally visit the Clinic.

Photo 6 Below is a Treatment Room:

Though Chanet Community Organisation (CCO) - Clinic is Equipped with some essential equipments like those in the Photograph Above, there is a lot that is required. There is urgent need of a Microscope.

Photo 7 Below is a Resting Room Where a Mother is Having a sick Child:

CCO-Clinic is having only three Beds for Out-Patients to Rest on. However, though the Clinic is for only Out-Patients, the poor conditions of the communities do force the Officer In-Charge to Admit those who cannot afford to transport themselves to Urban areas. If the In-Charge insists on refusing to admit, at times the poor Patient return home due to luck of fare; CCO dicovered as this is one of the causes that leads to High Mortality Rate in rural Areas at the grassroot. Therefore CCO realised as there is much need for construction of a better Health centre equiped with Beds and Beddings

Photo 8 Below is a Chief Executive Officer (CFE) Inspecting a room under Construction for the Expecting Maternal Mothers. The room is behind CCO-Clinic:

Due to much pressure of expecting mothers, and also CCO's Aim of offering adequate reproductive health services at the grassroot, we decided to construct additional two rooms behind the Clinic to cater for expecting mothers and employed a skilled Midwife.

Photo 9 Below is a Chief Executive Officer (CFE) near the two rooms under construction. They are meant to be the In-Charge's Residence. The rooms are behind CCO-Clinic Next to the Labor rooms that are also under construction:
